A comprehensive study has been conducted to analyze best practices in microfinance services supporting micro-enterprise development in Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member countries. This study aims to identify and share effective strategies for providing accessible and beneficial financial services to micro-entrepreneurs in the region.
Geographic Scope
The study focuses on exemplary practices in five APEC member countries:
1. Indonesia
2. Malaysia
3. Thailand
4. Philippines
5. Mexico
The selection of these countries enables a rich comparative analysis, encompassing diverse economic and cultural contexts across the Asia-Pacific region.
Methodology and Dissemination
The study process involved several key components:
• In-depth research on microfinance models in each country
• A series of regional workshops to discuss and disseminate findings
• A Microfinance Exhibition showcasing innovations and best practices
